	BENEFITS PAYROLL STIPEND The stipend for the 2008-2009 year is $50,274 (no 2009-2010 stipend determined, yet). As an alternative to Social Security tax, you may elect to participate in a deferred compensation plan. INSURANCE • Hennein County Medical Center uses a tier program for Health and Dental Insurance. Coverage is available for the fellows for a nominal fee, with family coverage available at an additional cost. • Malpractice: Fellows are covered for malpractice claims. Coverage continues after graduation from the fellowship for any claim that arose during the course of training. • Life Insurance: Life Insurance of up to $50,000 is provided. VACATION/LEAVE • Fellows are entitled to three calendar weeks of vacation during the year. (weekend days do not count against your allotment). Fellows also receive five days of interview leave. • Maternity and paternity leave policies exist, and can be detailed to meet the needs of the individual. CME - CURRICULUM CME - CME STIPEND - SPECIAL FUND • Fellows receive five CME days leave per year to attend conferences other than Curriculum CME. These educational experiences must be primary care or sports medicine related, and must be approved by the program Director. • Curriculum CME leave is comprised of the conferences that the fellows are “required” to attend, such as the ACSM and AMSSM Annual meetings. • Each fellows receives a CME Stipend of $5,000 for costs related to attendance at continuing medical education. • A $500 Special Fund has been provided to our fellowship program to be issued to any fellow, who presents an oral presentation at the AMSSM Annual Conference. SUPPLIES Team and Sports Physician Supplies Include: Sideline jacket Polos Sideline Bag Team Physician Handbook PDA for injury documentation and personal use RESIDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM An employee assistance program designed for residents. MEALS Fellows area provided a meal stipend for the cafeteria at the main hospital.
